Make literacy education more sustainable and reading more attainable

ReMo is a web-based application that supports life-long readers by managing and automating the workflow for educators and students around independent reading.

Enjoy the freedom to choose any of your reading materials — print or digital, online or in-classroom — to build and organize a searchable database of your books.

Book details

Make informed decisions about what books you choose from your independent reading library to make an enormous impact on literacy development. Catalog information like point of view, literary elements, historical events, text features, text structures, in addition to total pages, series, authors, topics and genres.

Crowdsourced data

Tap into the knowledge of a community of readers. Information about a book is automatically included when you add it to your library. You can also customize the information in each field and add notes to fit your needs and lessons.

Searchable database

Find the right recommendation for a student or the perfect title to support a lesson by searching your books by title, authors, publication date, type and more. You can also easily filter by and view book details to help narrow your search.

Fast, easy scanning or importing

Scan a book’s barcode to instantly pull in its data from the ReMo database or Amazon. You can also upload your book list from Classroom Booksource and Book Buddy. Click here to view recommended scanners compatible with ReMo.

Check-out, return & quarantine

Track inventory with real-time information on where your books are, their physical condition, as well as who has checked-out and returned them. Stay compliant with your school’s COVID protocols by designating a book as quarantined between uses. ReMo even keeps track of your lost or damaged books for when you need to reorder.

Classes Icon

Manage multiple classes

Add students into specific classes, view lists of students within a class or sort independent reading lessons and reading rate reports by students and classes.

Collaborate with others

Share book data and important information about readers with other educators in your school — like interventionists, specialists, co-teachers and case managers — at a class level.

Filter and sort readers

Focus your instruction when conferring with students by viewing and organizing your classes by level of student (grade level expectations) or type of student (growth and meeting standards).

Teacher alerts

See which students need help with their independent reading and which ones are all set. With each reading rate form submission, the educator receives an alert, including updates on when a student needs a conference, has almost finished their book, has abandoned a book or is requesting assistance.

Reading Icon

An interactive bookshelf is automatically organized based on what a user is currently reading, wants to read, has read or has abandoned. Quickly scan books in cover view or get more detailed synopsis in list view. Even add books that are checked-out by another user to your waitlist.

Reader Profiles

Each profile pulls data from the bookshelf and reading rate reports to give a real-time snapshot of each reader. View the types, forms and genres read, along with data such as book completion to abandon percentage, books read and pages read.

Reading Rates

Eliminate the use of paper reading logs and keep track of independent reading done in-school or at home. Both students and teachers can log reading rates, and readers can rate books, self-assess performance and send an alert to educators.
